Abstract

Different methodologies are use for accurate hitting of target by fighter aircraft. For guided weapons it is very well co-ordinate by homing head of weapon and weapon control system,but for unguided weapon, its hitting probability totally depend on pilot skill and aircraft maneuvering. This technical note outline category of conventional weapon by their damage mechanism and different technique to release unguided bomb from aircraft on desired target. This technical note point out need of toss bombing and derive general equation for toss bombing with the help of Dalembert principle and differential equation and at last geometrically calculate the height loss of aircraft in toss bombing.
